Who We Are
Bridge Hope Organization is a women-led civil society organization working at the intersection of human rights, women's rights, and digital rights in Somalia. We believe that lasting change begins when women are empowered to lead, participate, and shape the future of their communities.
We work alongside communities to strengthen awareness, build local leadership, and create safer civic and digital spaces where women can claim and defend their rights. Our approach is rooted in collaboration, community ownership, and the belief that every woman and girl deserves to live free from violence, discrimination, and fear.
Through community engagement, advocacy, and capacity strengthening initiatives, Bridge Hope Organization supports women and girls to participate meaningfully in shaping a more just, inclusive, and resilient Somali society.

Our Story
Bridge Hope Organization was established in 2025 during a time when many Somali women were facing deep social, economic, and environmental challenges. Families across the country were recovering from conflict and displacement, while women and young girls continued to face barriers to opportunity, safety, and participation in decision-making processes.
Seeing these challenges firsthand, a group of passionate Somali women came together with a shared conviction: that change is possible when women lead from within their own communities. They understood that the most sustainable solutions come not from outside, but from empowering local women to become advocates, leaders, and protectors of their own rights.
Our name, “Bridge Hope,” reflects our founding purpose — to serve as a bridge between the challenges women face today and the hopeful, equitable future they deserve. Every program we run, every community we serve, and every woman we empower brings us one step closer to that vision.
